Press Wine Services sells wines selected by Master of Wine Clive Barlow specifically to deliver quality, typicité and expression. Our wines are from independent importers and producers. Instead of shelves full of large global brands you will find wines from smaller, quality-focussed growers and winemakers who aim to create individual characterful wines for individuals. As well as wines from Kent, Sussex, Surrey and Cornwall there are plenty to choose from the Classic regions of Europe such as Burgundy and Bordeaux, Rioja and Piedmonte and you will come across great finds from Austria, Portugal, Spain and Germany.

The wines range from simple good drinking wines giving good levels of fruit and balance to fine age- worthy creatures which deliver complexity harmony and texture. Whatever the price point or style, each wine will have enough structure to partner food, and many can be consumed as ‘drinking wines’ or  an aperitif. There are no ‘fruit bomb’ wines here, no sugar-sweet wines masquerading as dry wines just good honest wine delivering honest true flavours from the grape, terroir and winemaker

Wine events and dinners

We run a number of wine events and Dinners at which you enjoy a lively, informative tasting or a fine meal accompanied by specially selected wines. To date the Wine Dine events have taken place at local restaurants including the Goods Shed Restaurant, The Sportsman at Seasalter, and Wheelers of Whitstable. There are also regular tasting dates at the Goods Shed for you to attend.
